I think these are harlequin bugs (possibly nymphs).

Harlequin bugs belong to the Jewel Bug Family (Scutelleridea). One of the distinguishing features of this family, is the large scutellum, which covers (in some species) the entire wing, giving the appearance of single dome.

The scutellum is the third division of the thorax (the middle division of an insect, between the head and abdomen) viewed from above.

I came to visit your watery wednesday feature but these bugs caught my eye. I love to photograph insects too and these are really beautiful and interesting.

It never cease to amaze me how many varieties of bugs there are, most that I've never seen and probably never will (thank goodness LOL!) These are pretty and remind me of lady bugs.

Those are cool little beetles. They remind me of our ladybugs. They are very pretty.
